Location - Ft. Lee AFB (Richmond, VA area)

We are currently bidding on a long-term contract opportunity with Ft. Lee's Network Enterprise System (NEC) for Systems Administration Contract Support. The overall objective of this role is to provide a contractual vehicle to deliver technical support for the information Mission Area Information Technology equipment and systems at Ft. Lee. 

This dual role will serve as the Primary Program Manager, providing oversight of the contract/employees and working directly with the COR and internal team members to ensure that all required contract objectives are being met. In addition, this individual will provide System Administration support as well. Ensuring that the systems are available to end-users and monitoring to provide peak efficiency while identifying and resolving and degradation, unusual activities or system downtime.  

General System Admin Requirements  are as follows:

System Administration:  Computer Systems Analyst II Enterprise Systems Administrator. 

  • Certifications: Security+ CE (Baseline IA); MCSA WIN SVR 2012 or 2016/  MCSA SQL Server /ESXi VMWare Certification/ MS SCCM Certificate (CE Certification)
  • Knowledge of Virtual Machines (VM), Storage Area Network (SAN), Network Area Storage (NAS), Clustering, Active Directory, AD Group Policy Management, Windows Internet Naming Services (WINS), Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP)
  • High proficiency with TCP/IP protocol.
  • Hardware knowledge with server platform equipment required including extensive knowledge of Ethernet networks, server and PC hardware, personal digital assistants (PDA), network printers, and storage technology.
  • Knowledge of Windows architecture and internals, including file system, registry, networking, and security. Knowledge of windows installation and deployment methodologies to include creation and customization of unattended installation scripts. 
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, configuring and troubleshooting networking operating systems.
  • Experience in deploying software packages in a Windows Active Directory environment.
  • Experience with various software products (ex. Symantec Backup Exec or NetBackup) that perform and maintain backup resources.

 (NOTE) - All Major certifications shall be covered (SQL, VMWare, and SCCM) with each of those, the EA shall have either Server 2012 or Server 2016 certification. One EA does not need all four certifications as long as all four certifications are covered by the contract.

Qualified candidates will also have a minimum of 5-years of Supervisory/Management experience.
